Virginia RFC Development Plan

At a recent event, on the 19th March, Conor Walker, Hon. Secretary, outlined the club's facilities development plan. Designed to serve both the needs of club members and the wider community, the plan includes the development of three new training areas, a new clubhouse and an upgrade of the existing carpark.
All aspects of the development are designed to complement the club's unique location adjacent to the Deerpark forest. The training areas include biodiversity corridors and were planted with 2,000 native trees during the winter of 2023. The new clubhouse, which will double as a community hub, will house modern changing facilities suitable for males, females and those with restricted mobility, is designed in sympathy with its surroundings. The club allows the public to use its carpark to access Deerpark forest. Due to the popularity of this amenity, there are challenges with capacity, especially at weekends. Everyone will benefit from upgrades to the carparking which will level the surface, increase capacity, include disabled parking and car charging points.
